But much characters of the Arkham line (Robin, Bane, Azrael and even the nice Harley Quinn) were not so demanded. Some of them are offered from 600 Euro (680 Dollar) upward in european onlineshops or on ebay.

I think Prime1 is now a little bit afraid of a financial disaster with side characters...

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

They aren't afraid enough when they are making 1500 Huntress statues at $1100 each. Not that I think they will actually make all of those at once (if ever). I am really confused by that one.... I get that they probably think a female second (or third) stringer will outsell a male second stringer, but come on.... 1500?

I am planning on getting it, but I am having a hard time getting myself to PO. Given the insane lead times, it just feels silly to order something that I might see in 2 years. Plus, I still feel burned from pre-ordering that red Nightwing statue and then having Sideshow immediately drop the price by $75 upon release. Not only did they take $90 from me at least a year earlier, but then they rewarded my pre-order and NRD with a price drop for everyone else.

If this had a lower ES, I'd pull the trigger... although, back to the red Nightwing, that was the only reason I felt I had to pre-order it. The ES was so ridiculously low, the worst case scenario was I'd change my mind and easily get my money back on the secondary market. It turns out there weren't 150 people in the world that wanted it.

Yeah, kind of strange the way they go about choosing which characters get made and which don't. For example, they teased The Nun (terrible movie, BTW). Do they really think a lot of people are going to pay $1,000+ for that character?

gonna be more than that at 1:2 scale, such a bizarre choice - totally agree with you. sometimes their character / license decisions are real head scratchers

Oh you're right. I didn't even realize it was going to be 1/2 scale. So, more like $2,000.

Absolutely... the fabric cape version of Huntress wasn't necessary imo. 750 ES... ok, but 1500? I have Huntress on PO but now I think, it would have been better to wait until her price will drop after release...

This is the same company making $1,000 statues of King Kong Skull Island, Independence Day Resurgence, Suicide Squad, and super niche anime/manga that will never sell out. A lot of their decisions aren't very logical and honestly, they're flat out stupid.

I don’t know. Horror has a big audience. Look at all the companies putting out a Pennywise. The Nun might not have been a great movie, but that character has appeared in other, more successful films.

Although I'm not willing to go as far as you are, yes I've questioned some of the licenses they choose to get into. But at the same time if these things sold in numbers that weren't financially worth it to them, I imagine they'd stop.

I also imagine they'd reduce production on those other licenses A LOT if they could start making Marvel stuff. A company like Sideshow doesn't really dabble a whole lot in those things because they don't need to. They're plenty occupied with the big 2.

Sideshow makes the same characters over and over again and people complain. Prime 1 goes out on a limb and makes niche characters and people still are not happy and question why they are doing it. Quite frankly i am happy prime 1 is willing to do things like Guyver, berserk, deadman, G.I joe, Evangelion etc etc etc and i hope to see their akira, ninja scroll, and all the other overlooked characters and licenses.
