I have to agree. The human like expression in their eyes is really distracting to me. I am sure they were designed this way to make them more relatable, but I feel it also makes it more apparent that they aren't real and merely CG creations.

I would guess the costs has to do with all the detail on the statues... These are not Bowen statues where the statue wears 1 color spandex costume.

I think to many people base price on the scale and not the quality and complexity of the statue.

That's because we already know the final product is going to look nowhere near as good. No matter how complex the colors and sculpt are, companies still just paint them with flat boring simple colors like they would Superman.

hard to see alot of detail on a 12 in statue,

you just cant appreciate it, like a 1/4 or a 1/3

The orcs all look great but why can't it be 1/5 or bigger. 1/6 is just too small

That isn't true at all dude. You need to check out some of GG's other 1/6 pieces, and I agree with built2shred, collectors who disregard these pieces because of their price don't seem to realize how much sculpt and paint detail go into GG's statues. You need to check out pieces like Cap on Motorcycle, Deadpool on Vespa, Ghost Rider on Bike. So many people base height and size with price first, and that should never be how you judge a statue...especially ones from Gentle Giant.

At 1/6 scale, my Death Trooper statue has more sculpt and paint detail than my SS Keaton PF...and Keaton is 26" high. At 1/6 scale, my Spider Darth Maul has more sculpt and paint detail than my SS Big Chap Maquette...and Big Chap is 28" tall. It's crazy to me how under appreciated Gentle Giant is to most collectors around here. Sideshow could never come through in production with some of the pieces GG has done...they'd never spend the money to make them like GG can make them.

These Wow Pieces look ----ing awesome, man.
