Yeah it's a strange decision. Hopefully GG picks up the slack. Speaking for myself I have more faith in their 1:4 product at the moment anyway and if SS did it I can pretty much guarantee it wouldn't have been fully sculpted. Which is what I'd prefer too.

Wait really? SSC just decided not to put out any GotG statues?! Why the heck not, it grossed a ton in the theaters and is super popular, heck already got green lit for a 2nd movie and they are going to be coming into the Avengers 3 movie at some point as well. That is super sad, as is GG not doing others in this line  .
I'm with you now, Bullseye, without the whole gang being made I think I am going to have to hold off now. :/

Just because SS was going to produce Rocket and Star Lord doesn't mean they'd have tackled the whole team. In fact I'd wager we'd be lucky to see anything beyond those two and possibly Gamora. I doubt they'd ever have produced Groot and/or Drax, so your chances of seeing the whole gang are no worse with GG.

It would be good if GG came out and said yes we will produce the whole team. I'd then buy this.

I don't think they forecast that far ahead. I asked if they'd be doing a Winter Soldier when Widow and Cap were announced and they had no idea. Seems like a no-brainier release to me.
That said I'm cool if this ends up being my lone piece from the film despite wanting Star Lord. My completist days are behind me. Plus I don't have room for the whole team anyways.

I would love a great Star Lord, Rocket, Groot. I'd maybe grab Gamora if done right, but I really wouldn't be interested in Drax.

Ordered from Gentle Giant. Yup, it cost more, but I do want the baby Groot. I hope it's not 2" tall...hope it's at least 5".
