What I'm not understanding is why Gwen's pose got changed from the cover in the first place. To me the original was just fine.

Legally I don’t believe she can force the license holder to make any change whatsoever. I believe it’s more a perception issue (bad press, especially because of social media etc) than a strictly legal one.
