You are absolutely correct. It's a design that has been done many times . . . but why has it been done many times? because it's a Classic Batman environment design. Classic never goes out of style.
You know what does goes out of style? something that is being made just to be different. most of the time after the novelty of it being different wears off, people usually circle back to the classic-basics.
#6 just doesn't work for me. The crouching mid-air pose for me falls flat. The only redeeming quality is the cape but i'm not even crazy about that design. He's jumping over the Bat Signal with bats going crazy to his right. #10 may be redundant and boring to some but i think it's the best looking crouching Batman designs i've seen. looks really sharp without trying too hard. i'd lose the bats in #10...not necessary.
