I wish they had either gone all in on the purple or not done it at all. I mean, at times her hair was black. Others it was green. Commonly it was dark with white streaks. Not sure where the purple came from.

Yes and no. Val/Contessa/whatever you want to call her - was Madame Hydra. However she was not Viper. It is my understanding that Madame Hydra is a title that changes person as desired.

I was hoping they would do either Madame Hydra or Viper. So this is a win because this Madame Hydra has a long history with Nick Fury. To see Sam Jackson and JLD together will be exciting!

I didn’t read any of her old stuff, but that Hickman Secret Warriors run (I think it was Hickman) on had her in it. So that’s why I know her. Viper I know from XMen/Wolverine.

But she is a great actress outside of that show. Watch VEEP. That will sell you on her being good in this role.

And we already saw a Viper-looking Madame Hydra in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., season four anyway. Not that that means anything since the TV series is no longer part of the MCU. (Agent Coulson R.I.P. 2012)
