Sometimes Prime 1 sent replacement parts in 2 weeks. Sometimes in 10 months.

PS: This topic has 500 pages! Wow.

SC has offered to do exchanges in the past. I figure it's still less risky than going through Prime 1 direct. At least they're willing to have the conversation and foot the bill if something goes wrong.

It shows 125 for me. You must have a low post per page setting. Still impressive though!

I would be very surprised if prime 1 couldn't provide replacement parts as this statue has a 1799 run. Majority of breakages will likely be the mandibles, I wouldn't be surprised prime 1 are already thinking how to pack the open portraits better going forward as it'd save them a ton of money and keep collectors happy.

I think it's going to be closer than you think with this one. There's been a spike in interest from after how well it turned out. I know people enquiring about it who've never bought a statue in their life. Prime 1 aren't going to quickly shut off this line, there going to take their time and milk this beast till it's last drop. Anything less than 1k in sales would be considered a financial bomb for them with this statue.

^ typically, I’d agree with you. Especially with the craftsmanship on this one. But I think the reality of shipping is stinging a lot of potential collectors. Daily, I read a post on one of the FB groups that are admiring an owner’s pictures, only to reply, “if shipping wasn’t so expensive, I’d get this.” But time will tell I suppose.

I still believe that Prime 1 run numbers are fugazi. PS: Shipping is killing this hobby.

Prime 1 numbers are indeed BS but you guys are underestimating sale numbers on this one, especially in Asia regions. There likely to sell 1500+ on this one, like it or not.

Compare that with the 1/4 JH, that's still on the market, at a discounted price and still struggling to sell. Why? Because that turned out quite disappointing. Wouldn't be surprised at least 50% collectors skipped or cancelled on that to buy the 1/3, that's 500 units right there. Not to mention many who missed out on the CM like myself, there are many collectors frothing the last decade over a CM equivalent. Another few hundred.

Shipping prices are nuts, but once collectors see what they like, even if there is a 12 month lag in purchasing, most find a way to buy what they want. Grail pieces will always sell like hot cakes. Crappy ones most certainly reduced ES or worse, cancelled altogether.
