I have always believed that Wolverine is the best there is at what he does and that's why I voted for him. Even without healing factor, adamantium skeleton and heightened senses, I think he has so much fighting spirit inside him and such determination to come out on top, that he will be very hard to defeat.
Especially so if his opponents also do not have any super-powers.

Just my two cents though!

PS: I think the Silver Samurai is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant (being a top notch samurai) who could proudly participate in this poll.

half of the candidates in the poll have enhanced strength or abilities so it's a fixed fight!

How about The Mandarin, even without his rings he can throw down with Iron Man.

From Wiki - Through repeated practice, he has toughened all the striking surfaces of his body, especially his hands, which are covered with thick calluses. He can even split Iron Man's magnetic-beam reinforced alloy armor with repeated blows. So great is the Mandarin's martial arts ability, that he can even survive years without food and water, apparently sustaining himself purely via his mastery of chi.

Mandarin's a great point. Back in the Stan Lee/Gene Colan run on Tales of Suspense, couldn't he break Iron Man's armor with a single karate blow? And, didn't he train Psylock, as well?
