Since this new 1/3 Scale PF licence is limited to LOTR there's no chance a Tauriel will be produced. As for a Legolas, that's a possibility if the line survives, but I highly doubt it'll be under 2K.

£1357. 89, absolutely crazy pricing from Weta here and that's without taxes and shipping. Can't afford this what a shame

How close does WETA usually get from proto to production? I have zero WETA pieces.

If you had asked that question a few years ago I would have said the difference between the prototype and production statues was very close. The past year it's been hit and miss far to often. After the War Troll debacle I'm no longer pre-ordering Weta statues unless I absolutely have to for fear of that item selling out. These statues have become far too expensive for me to settle on subpar paint apps and if I can wait until in hand photo's start showing up that's exactly what I'm going to do. In fairness to Weta, I also do that with any SS statues I buy.

Just hang in there until BF. I can't help you with those insane taxes you pay over there, but getting this for 50% off retail should ease the pain somewhat.

Received my Gollum this week. I am surprised by the size of the box...it's freaking huge!! Is it worth it? Yes and no. This piece looks just like the prototype!! For $1800, it's a small statue.
