Storm is pretty awesome, and if this representation beats Bowen's then I would definitely buy her. However, I'd rather see an X-Man we haven't seen a 1/6 representation of yet. Jubilee would fit well with the current group.

Even though the paint is drab, I don't think it's a deal breaker. The sculpt is still great, and I've been happy with it in my display. It's still available at a pretty decent price point too, but like all statues, they will eventually sell out.
Though I don't see it fetching the prices that some other pieces are getting to on the secondary market (Colossus, Magneto, Wolverine), I'd think you won't be paying less than what it's at now. If you need a Jim Lee cyclops, then I would pull the trigger on him. Just an FYI too, I am a completionist, so I do have a bias to getting anything DRS.

DarkSpidey did an awesome repaint on him I wish the production piece came out that way, Check it out. But as far as getting the statue I'm still happy with it besides it changing so much from the prototype.

A Blackbird base would go well with the preceding Sentinel bases. Its dark, metallic blue wouldn't be a jarring contrast. Now if Storm were floating over a brightly flowered section of the Savage Land, then I wouldn't be as agreeable.

For all its faults, the Koto Cyclops is definitely worth getting. At least it was to me. Erick Sosa did a wonderful job with his sculpt. Sadly, the paints are poor to average, and I had to get mine repainted - thanks Daniel "Duke Fleed"! It bothered me to that point, but Cyclops was always my favorite X-Man growing up and I needed him to be perfect.
Going back to Storm....
I wasn't in love with Bowen's Action Storm pose. And it's similar to the X-Men #1 cover. I'd much rather see a vertical "hovering" sculpt than a horizontal flight pose.
Yeah, Erick will a problem of excess when it comes to choosing Storm's pose.

^ I like the one on the top left corner. That would translate well into a statue. She needs to have her head tilted upwards a little but looking straight like she was calling lightning to strike whoever looks at her.

It would be annoying if she didn't have her Jim Lee costume. Even when companies follow a Jim Lee motif for every other character, they always seem to revert to the Dave Cockrum costumes for Jean and Storm.

I totally agree. The Jim Lee style takes the cake. At least for the DRS line.
