5 year old suspended....
After reading this, I'm seriously considering my path in life. Maybe I should go back to school for a bit and get more involved in my local politics. I swear, not all people in PA are this stupid....

I have a 5 year old and he likes playing with guns with his brother and little friends.

That's completely ridiculous unless, of course, the 5 year old was muslim.

Terrorists cause terror. In this situation the one causing terror is whoever suspended the girl.
My kids go to a Montessori school and things like this would not be tolerated (ie the bubble gun). I have been talking to re my son making his hand into a gun. I am not sure that people realize that imagination does not make something real or dangerous.
Back to the girl though - imagine if she did shoot the bubble gun and had used non-tearfree soap. That's simply barbaric.

They're throwing the "terrorist" word around for this? Really?

I gave my son a small pocket knife for Christmas. It was his favorite gift. I have stressed to him continually that he can not take it to school or risk certain expulsion and potential arrest. He's 8. What world do we live in where I have to have these conversations.

That 5 year-old's clearly a threat; good thing she didn't have the gun on her.
We're assigning adult comprehension to children who can't even tie their shoes yet.
Mount Carmel? Your school district "officials" are f#cking idiots.
