Jerry doesn't seem to be in the ask thread anymore so I might as well ask here too: is there any possible way people who buy the comic version could perhaps request getting the regular base instead?

 no worries there. I grew up playing SF but I've never felt the desire to collect statues based on the characters, or any video game property for that matter. Film based characters are where it's at for me.

If PCS considered changing the base for the comic version, then I might consider ordering it.

But seriously, while I'm surprised you didn't get one, I agree in principle, this hobby is a sickness. I was so close to buying both versions but I stopped myself. As I have with a few pieces from other companies lately. I do like it a lot! But one is enough if I'm honest, as tempted as I am.
