What Marvel character do you most identify with?
What Marvel character do you most identify with?
So what characters in the Marvel universe do you identify with most?
Are you drawn to that character because of it?

I think my love for Colossus has always been because I identify with him. He's a big guy who's also an artist, very loyal but also ruled to a degree by his emotions. Now that, I can relate to.

Daredevil--because of all the obstacles and crap he's had to overcome over the years. Like Matt, I used to find it challenging to balance doing my job and fulfilling my calling, which is now possible because I have just made a career change. Think of it as DD joining the Avengers!
DD is quite serious, but was also the wisecracking type (in the 60s), which are also two aspects of my personality.
My sense of smell is also enhanced...

When I was younger, I felt more like Peter Parker -- Misunderstood, generally fed up, and couldn't wait for the nonsense of his self-absorbed personal life to end so that he could enjoy whatever successes and indulgences he hoped awaited him in adulthood.
Now that I'm older, I feel more like Tony Stark -- Too aware for his own good, generally taking on more than he should or wants or was even asked to, and feeling far too obsessive than necessary to see things through to the end.
Both characters seem to play this tug of war with who they are and what they want. Their arguably pathological sense of responsibility is at constant odds with where they seem to prefer to be. While they strongly identify with both ends of the spectrum, they continue to struggle to find that delicate balance in between. The disharmony that results often invites undue stress and contention in their personal and interpersonal lives.
