Here's my review of the Death Dealer 3. The statue is nice but the packaging was beyond terrible.

Nice review and thanks for posting.

The styrofoam that they use is really poor. My DD1 had the same issue of almost blowing out the side of the foam. Also the whole snow effect of trying to clean everything up afterwards. Packaging aside the statues are beautiful pieces. I'm also glad to have this in my collection.

I watched your review, really nice and sharp images. On mine the skin tone on the leg is also a bit darker than the hands. It doesn't bother me but would have liked the legs to be the same colour as the hands. I don't know if you corrected it but your axe was not completely slotted in and as you mentioned you first have to place the axe and then position the statue.

I am real happy with mine!!

Just received the Death Dealer III from ARH lately. Unfortunately I'm pretty disappointed. The statue itself is nice and I also like how the sculptor reinterpreted the back armor of the Dealer. The base is almost the best part. But the head looks terrible wrong and totally out of proportions!! I don't know who sculpted this head but damn...it's all disproportionate.

I also own the 1:6 scale of the same statue. Ok, one could argue the shape of the horns aren't the same like on Frazetta's painting but still...at least the horns look good when it comes to fit the overall likeness of the helmet, which can't be said at all for the 1:4 scale by ARH.
There the whole head sculpt just looks contorted and wrong. It diminishes the devious, eerie look of the Death Dealer and almost turns it to ridicule.

While I'm not a huge fan of the helmet, that's what it looks like in his painting. Jewel shoulda been red on his head instead of metal, that's about it. This DD has a different helmet then the others.

The horns are very accurate to the open leg DD3...the problem for me personally is how Frank painted the horn positioning on that helmet...also the helmets are all a little different in each painting.
There is no red jewel, the red is a reflection from the glowing eyes.
