two Ernie Chan commissions

Ernie just sent me these scans and is mailing the pieces today. Not bad considering I just put in for these two days ago, talk about a fast worker. I've always loved his work, so I suspect these are the first of a good number of commissions.

2 DAYS?!?!??! Are you kidding me? Those are both fantastic! I've been meaning to get a commission from Ernie Chan for awhile now. These two pieces seal the deal for me.

Congrats!!!

I loved Chan's inks over John Buscema's pencils.

I've been thinking about getting an Ernie Chan Hulk commission, but am concerned...His anatomy & detail seem off these days. Compare this cover to what he's doing now...

I've also thought about getting a Sal Buscema Hulk done & have Ernie do the inks, but Sal is sooo expensive & I don't like the style he is drawing the Hulk these days. Seems like he's trying to match the modern look. Yuck!

I just picked up an issue of the Hulk - I can't remember the number - but the credits list Chan as the "Embellisher"...

Fancy pants way of saying inker I guess...
