Snake slayer suggestions

I had to put 3 kits aside to start to do this bad boy.
I was just curious for some suggestions about the hanging material of the side of conan.
I included a pic of the area and figured you guys might know what to do it.
I just don't want to do it brownish since most of the figure is shades of brown and earth tones.
thanx
joe

Awesome piece!! I'm a huge fan of Robert E. Howard's Cimmerian and this piece is awesome!! I'd probably say the material hanging down is likely linen or wool of some form. It looks like leather, but I can't see running around in leather undies with fur over top. On the other hand, it could be part of a loin cloth.

Where'd you get this one? How big is it? Also, the sword is a better match than the battleaxe.
