That will be the factories office/room. With all those XM Studios pieces in the background it's a good indication that PCS are using the same factory as XM for these pieces.

If that were the case, then why does PCS use polystyrene to pack its statues and XM use sponge?

Many companies use polystyrene. Sponge is probably better as leads to less breakages. I don't know why all statues arn't packed in sponge.

I doubt there's much difference in cost. Sponge might be slightly more expensive, but nothing compared to the price of a broken statue.

Your doubting it doesn't mean there isn't. When I order a book from Amazon, chances are it'll arrive damaged as their packaging sucks or is plain non-existing - they just toss it in a box with no protection at all. One would think it wouldn't cost them that much more to spend a few more seconds and scarce more cents in stuffing material per package, and yet they don't, even though I'm sure they must have plenty of returns and refunds (I know I ask for them a lot). Why? Because it all adds up, and it obviously works out cheaper for them in the grand scheme of things.

Otherwise every statue company would be doing it. And, as you said, that's not the case.

Is the paint job on the war paint version being updated to be accurate? I have the set on order and remember Jerry mentioning the paint was being updated to be movie accurate but have not seen an update in a long time.

Anyone know? There is a thread on FB about it too.

I doubt it will ever be 100% accurate just because prepaint.

No because it is made in Chinese factories that will always try to pass off whatever they find convenient.

I'm sure that the Chinese factory workers are huge Conan fans. I think of it as getting a $6k piece for just under $1k.
