Anyone ordered direct from prime 1 in uk?

Hi, considering ordering a piece from prime one, im in uk, i just wondered if they use the 5% customs code for import duty or the 20% code like sideshow does? thanks.

20% is normal for all statues entering the UK from beyond Europe. Sucks i know. If you do get charged 5%, consider yourself lucky, as it was a mistake.

Never buy from anyone in the US who makes use of the Ebay shipping program. It is a complete ripoff. For starters the shipping service is hyper slow, secondly, you won't be paying 5% or 20%. You will pay closer to 30% or 40%

FedEx remains a mystery. As RaddTitan (the YouTube guys) once put it. FedEx pull import fee's out of their a$$. They appear to invent numbers that make no sense. Also, FedEx are s-l-o-w.

From personal experience, i rate DHL no.1
DHL are fast, their import fee's consistent. US to UK 2 to 3 days (unlike FedEx which runs into weeks).

On the subject of Prime 1. They offer shipping via air or the cheaper shipping via boat option(s). I have 2 pieces on pre_order directly with Prime 1. For the moment, i donot know what the import will pan out like?

I don't know. I know they have two options for shipping. One can take up to 3 months and cost less. I assumed it was via boat, or it could be via a system where Prime 1 find low cost flights (probably not the best wording in the world ).

UK customs now charge 26% in terms of VAT/Duty but it depends on the Commodity code the sender lists. Makes a big difference on a £1000+ statue

There is economy shipping available for UK? Why don't we get that in the rest of the EU? :-(

I didn't see any economy shipping on prime 1 site to UK...

There isn't any economy shipping to the UK as far as i'm aware.

My first piece direct from Prime 1 will be Aptom but after the insane shipping on Gurren Lagann from Sideshow ($400) and another £300+ in import fee's then i expect the same from Prime 1.

It doesn't matter hwo you have it shipped with now it seems, DHL are chosen because they are usually the cheapest.

With how sh--ty the £ is against the $ right now it's genuinely not worth ordering direct.

Order from CDUK as others have suggested.

Prime 1 and everyone else need to take a leaf out of F4Fs book and get the warehouses set up to reduce cost to us, because i'll continue to buy direct from F4F but i won't be buying anything else after my current orders are done from Prime 1 or Sideshow direct.

just an update asked prime one if they use 20% or 5% customs code to UK and they confirmed to me it's the 20% code.
