What do I do?

Okay folks, i have a problem.

The floor of the Sitting room in my flat vibrates slightly because the floorboards are warped;I can't touch them cos I'm a tenant and my landlord ain't doing anything about it. Actually it's hardly noticeable except that I've got 2 detolfs on it which vibrate everytime I walk into the room.

Here's my set up:

I actually feel that if I jump up and down long enough, they will actually fall down! I could pin them to the wall but that won't stop the actual vibration within them as long as their bases still rest on the floor;we all know how glass can be when it vibrates continously.
So what do I do?

I thought about putting in some wall hung display shelves but that would involve too many screws in the wall...

I'm wondering if it's possible to actually wall hang the detolf?

So I would probably replace all the glass with acrylic and then secure the wood top and base to the wall with steel 'L' sections...

Has anyone ever tried this and what do you guys think?

SOME HELP PLEASE!

Vibration isolators should work. We use these type of isolators for indoor ac units. Thay have more to choose from (different sizes and thickness). There are no locations in Europe, but they do export (minimun amount ?) and you will need a commercial/ buisness account. There has to be an industrial supply in your area that supply's these things. Try some regular rubber mats. If you want to wall mount them get some heavy duty shelf brackets screw them to the studs for the bottom shelf and use some L-brackets to mount the top of the detolf to wall. If your floor vibrates alot, then your wall should vibrate a decent amount too.

You could also just but some museum putty. This will hold the statues & busts in place regardless of the vibration. Only way they are falling is if the curio itself falls.

I'd attach the tops of the cabinets to the wall and put some thick(ish) rubber pads under the feet.

The rubber should absorb some of the vibrating and the attachments at the top will hold the cabinet steady on the pads.

I'd box the statues/busts up and either move the detolf away from that shaky floor area or simply get a bigger and more sturdy display case, or even a new department.
