The character is recognisable by her outfit..or lack of, but that has existed since her creation.
I will say my wife does stand by my collecting so that helps, she bought my first Sonja she devil for me.
She’s recognizable to us, sure, but I can honestly say I can’t think of a single friend or family member, besides my wife, that would know Dejah Thoris.

I still may end up getting it. I was just curious if there was a line that people wouldn’t cross in their own collection. Even if it was just to avoid awkwardly explaining to your mother-in-law who Dejah Thoris is. Lol

Collect what you like...awkward explanations to the mother in law can be figured out later.

Yeah most people I know think all my statues and figures are cool but silly for someone 40, so one with uncovered boobs isn't gonna change their opinion much

I've had a few comments about how good they are, never had anyone comment on how someone my age shouldn't collect them.
My granddaughter has said she'll happily look after them when I die

Scantily clad females used to make up 90% of my collection. Lol My first SS piece was the original Vampirella(best Valentine’s Day gift ever). Still my favourite. I’ve sold off most of my statues, but I don’t think I’d ever be able let her go.

Most of my disposable income goes toward Hot Toys now, but this peaked my interest. As I’m sure it would for most men with eyes.

Did she maliciously rub her hands while saying so?
