Considering how upset the collecting community can get about things like this, especially when it comes to Prime 1, I am honestly surprised at how well this is being received.

Why didn’t they just make the original 1/3 statues, including the predator line, the correct scale?

I understand these will be different poses, I just find “1/3 XL” to be odd.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Most people realize they'd rather have a bigger piece than not. This is just how the ball rolls in statue land.

I went through the thread and I am confused about the scale.

Is 1/3 XL actually like 3:1? WTH.

Can we expect the Big Chap to be scaled accurately or that's asking for too much?

We already got a 1/3 Chap. This one is actually more 1/2.5 like their preds.

People want Aliens to match the P1 preds so why wouldn't they be happy? It's not like they are just doing a reissue at a different scale like with their Batman Hush line which is what people get upset about.

Thanks. So the upcoming Big Chap and Warrior which I am guessing will be in a more action pose (diorama based) will also be in this new XL scale (1/2.5).

Like you said if this scale line is meant to compliment the scale of the oversized Predators which they never officially labeled as XL (but is obvious to collectors who have them), then I guess it's a good thing as long as they remain consistent with this XL scale.

Heck, if they officially mark it as 1/2.5 in the scale section, most would understand and be happy, then an ambiguous term XL next to 1/3.

Generally, I think everyone would love every statue to have an accurate scale label assigned to it, but that doesn't happen. At this point, with the over sized Predators either released or on their way, I think the ship has sailed on "accurate scale labels".... so, I personally don't really care what they label their new Aliens as, as long as they look great next to the Predators. I also don't understand the complaints... it's not like these are being made instead of 1/3 pieces, it's in addition to.... are we really complaining about more Alien goodness being made?
