They should have brought that hammer arm in more for the space-challenged collectors.

Please understand that a deposit and a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit are not the same thing. On these "pending" shipping cost items there is NO NRD, it is just a regular deposit that can be refunded.

I didnt see that mentioned on the cave troll page, not even in the t&c's, unlike Thranduil. It did say NRD though, so I would assume that is true.

From Weta FAQ:
Can I cancel my order if I don’t like the final shipping cost?
Yes, you can. For orders with shipping 'pending' we will refund you the full cost if you think shipping is too high and you cancel before we process your order.

Actually this is one of the main reasons why I went for the CT

I e-mailed Weta and it is an NRD. In this instance there’s allowance for cancellations only if the buyer disagrees with the final shipping charges.

And you will recover the full amount paid in the deposit. Am I right?

Final cost -> cero

Yes, but only for a dispute of shipping costs. If you cancel prior to the final shipping declaration, or for any other reason, you lose the NRD.

Well, looks like my Cave Troll is going to be inbound soon, with shipping to my location here in the DC area set at $203. Final payment due next week.

Not great, but not terrible either, I think, considering how large this thing is going to be - WETA cites a box sized 36x28x19 inches, which is larger than the box my XM Doc Ock arrived in a few weeks back. Really hope he isn't as heavy, though.

Will be interesting to see what carrier is going to be delivering this.

My shipping cost is $89 and that's from the EU warehouse to Copenhagen, Denmark.
