This amazing Beta Ray Bill was done for free by Walt, as a buddy of mine who was, and is a fellow police officer with Thomas Rabjohn (the officer that was killed in the line of duty, while serving in the EOD, think The Hurt Locker for those unfamiliar with the lingo. The proceeds will go to a scholarship fund for his daughters.), solicited pieces from artists, big and small, including Dave Gibbons (wait till you see THAT piece, you will be flabbergasted), Gene Ha, Joe Kubert and many other luminaries.

This piece was a great start, and I hope that as much love will be shown for the future pieces for this cause...

Great art!

Tragic story.

Great to see the art community supporting this.

That went for a decent price IMO....$2,000 for an 11"x17" original from Simonson is not bad at all!

No, I'm not, just very good buds with the guy running point on this. He's never done this before (gathered pieces for a charitable cause), but this one really spoke to him...for obvioius reasons. Monster has met him and is friends with him as well, and Marko (my buddy that is spearheading these auctions) is just good people, and someone that is my privilege to call, FRIEND.

If you want a peek at some of the upcoming pieces, the link is below, but he's keeping the Gibbons piece under his hat for now...but no one will even comprehend what Dave did for this...it's that far beyond the pale.
