Very nice gesture! However, are the Sandy Relief or St. Jude's Children's hospital auctions known for auctioning off original comic book art?

Yes. The forum's own Mike Negin runs these art auctions at the Chicago and NY comic cons. He ran a host of Sandy relief auctions on ebay recently.
