Jim Lee Superman and Batman Statues.

Hey everyone. I am just starting to get into collecting statues. I mostly have been picking up Adam Hughes inspired pieces but have been looking into getting the two statues that Jim Lee did of Superman and Batman. I found them at a LCS around here and the guy is selling them for the price on the box. Is that a good deal? I tried looking at ebay and there was only one Superman and it was going for around $600. I thought that may be a little exaggerated. Also, does anyone have the two of these set up somewhere? I'd love to see any displays of them together. Thanks for any advice!

I think the statues usually sell for around retail. Here are the only 2 pics I have of the statues together. There are more pics of the individual statues on flickr.

$600 is way way too expensive and no one on Ebay will ever sell it for that much. These have been going for $150-$200~ each for a long time now on Ebay, and I doubt that's changed in the few months since I looked.

I did reviews of them there, but I unfortunately don't have pictures of the two together.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I never liked these, Bat's ribcage is way too big and so is his chin. Superman looks more squared then the Batman does and I think Supes middle is too thin.

I like them and they look great placed next to the matching Warner Bros giclees I have of them. They are very accurate to the drawing.

I like the Superman way more than the Batman. Batman's chin reminds me of Buzz Lightyear...

thanks for everyone's responses. The Superman does look superior to this. But I do think they look good as a pair. I also am looking to get both the Public Enemies statues. They look great too.
