Thanks for the production pics...but I'm happy I went with my gut and cancelled my order for the Supes piece. The prototype piece looked amazing but these production shots are IMO horrible. The costume is painted decently...but the skin tone and hair on the face make it look like a plastic doll

the pieces just have no life to them...they look dead in the eyes

I have a feeling the lighting is making them look like plastic doll heads... I'll probably go ahead and get the the superman one but hold off on the others until I see what supes actually looks like in person.

Here's a video review of the new 1:6 Icon statue from the new Man Of Steel movie. Enjoy!

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

The movie better be great because it would be an absolute drag to purchase Man of Steel statues and the movie sucked!

I was on the fence, but I think that video just convinced me. The sculpt is great...the face might be a bit soft but it's not bad at all! Thanks for showing it!

Look out for #1. Don't step in #2 either.

Totally agree there, that's what put me off them when I first saw them.

Thanks for the video, statuehunter.

The eyes are much better painted on Superman than the DC Icon 1:6 Dark Knight. I have that.

Just got mine today... It's not a bad statue but the head and hands look so rubbery looking, I hate the paint process they used for his skin, it looks more like a doll then a statue. I thought maybe it was the lighting from the previous pictures posted by another member but I was wrong. I'm probably going to give this one to my 12 year old nephew, I know he'll love it... For me I don't have a lot of room so if I'm not in love with it, it's gotta go....

Wow, the statue doesn't look bad at all but the one thing that really turns me off is the mixed media cape and it cheapens the statue. It should have been sculpted instead. Also the color looks bright red which clashes too much with the navy blue outfit.

I agree the cape should of been the same color as the base, more of a burgundy red.
