I love penguins.
Unfortunately, for some reason, they seem to fly like anvils.

And it seems too that bases boosted with "whipped cream" effects have become the norm. Psylocke, Supergirl, Scarlet Witch, Powergirl...

The Super Girl base does look like some form of wild whipped cream. Power Girl, her base looks less like cream, more like clouds, and the smooth surface really helps.

I get what you (and others) are saying but there's comic history and an inside the industry joke as to why PG's bewbs are so big. Her massive bewbs have simply become a part of her character and that's why so many collectors are asking for her to look insanely endowed. For this character in particular, it's more than just wanting to see a woman with a large rack. It's wanting to see a woman with a ridiculously massive rack.

I think the biggest issue of this statue's breast size isn't so much that PG should have huge boobs (which is a character trait that's being ignored by this sculpt), while it's just that SS is so generic with their female proportions that every woman has the same body type these days. It's definitely made clear with the side by side pics of PG and SG basically looking the same, and I bet you could put those side by side with any other female statue and see a similar body - and it's just generically boring.

Jim Lee drew Psylocke with really thick thighs, and SS didn't do that in their sculpt. Michael Turner drew Supergirl to be a late-aged teenager with an athletic build, and SS didn't translate that to either of their releases. And now we have a Power Girl that isn't a "beefier" woman's body all around, who now instead looks like a generic female sculpt that's being used for every other woman statue. Kind of a shame, if you ask me....

I agree on body diversity and having types. There's nothing wrong with smaller or larger builds.

Women can have powerful large legs in real life.
