The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

"Ariel's tail is green, not blue. Not even close to blue. I'm talking to make a redhead with a rich, sapphire blue. No lawsuit there."

Demona, even if you are talking about a redhead with a sapphire blue tail, I would be shocked if Sideshow took the risk.

Disney does not play around when it comes to someone attempting to copyright one of there trade marks.

^That's how vindictive Disney can be. When you look at the dark side, careful you must be ... for the dark side looks back.

So you don't think that the very first mermaid statue doesn't look significantly closer to Ariel than a dark blue tail with red hair would? My logic is that SS changed the hair color, left the tail the same on their first released mermaid. Mine recommendation is that the tail would be different, the hair the same as Ariel.

So with that logic - they could make the color combination I suggested without getting sued since SS was greenlit to make the first mermaid. Though I suppose it all depends on what Disney considers Ariel's defining feature to be....her hair color or tail color.

I'm surprised there's no blog for this "Morning," variant.

EDIT: LOL a half hour after I comment it appears.

I wish they would do a black Mermaid and give her gorgeous brown skin, dark brown or black hair and a marigold colored tail.

I was imagining a darker skinned mermaid with black hair with aqua eyes and tail, that'd look beautiful.

There are so many options that I as much as I don't always like variants, I think it works for this piece. A darker skinner beauty would be nice. A nice even 6 mermaids could make for a nice display. Maybe make a rock with some flat spots to have them on varying heights.
