I went ahead and ordered the regular, I'm waiting for my local shop to call me when I can order the variant...
Anyone know if they're doing variants for every character?

Igo mentioned they would have more variants, but he didn't specifically state 100% guaranteed for each release. He basically said they would do a variant when it made sense to.

I think it would be really strange to have a variant Tink or Alice.
Alice you might be able to change the mushroom color, but I don't see how you would be able to change skin/hair/outfit colors on either of them.

I agree. I mean I don't really understand the need for this Mermaid variant. It's very pretty, I just don't get why it was needed.

Actually, I can see SSC making a variant for Alice ...considering in the original book Alice had dark hair (not blonde). And by doing that, SSC could change the color of her dress, too.
...A variant is not necessary, but I can see the reasoning if they did.

You know what would make cool variants are evil versions of the characters, like Tinkerbell in a black outfit with a naughty mischievous look on her face... Just change the colors and portraits of each statue to give a evil version of itself.
