Ok, so that last one might be a little tougher than recreational math should have to deal with. If nobody gets it by Monday I'll just post the answer.

In the meantime I'll throw out an easier question so there will be two active questions, like in the mindbender thread.

How can you write an equation using simple math so that you can use 6 nines to make 100? I know of at least two ways to do this, there may be others.

81 + 9 + 9 + 1 = 100

That is Correct

99/99 + 99 = 100 also works, there may be others, but these are the only two I know. You are up, Mandragora. BTW, did you give up on the other one?

no i didn't give up . . i didn't even start it to be honest . . been thinking about what kind of formula it would be instead of looking at every single option.

That's ok, the reason it was moved is because nobody but me, Teague, Indy Yoda, and Pablo was looking at it. I don't think the same people look at the math threads and the mindbender thread, otherwise it wouldn't be stumping everybody. It is actually a very good question

Mandragora is up for getting the 6 nines question correct. Since nobody has answered the professor question I posed earlier, the answer is that he is 81. In addition to Mandragora, anyone else who has one can throw out a second active question.
