Shipping is high for sure, but the quality is perfect !! Not like sideshows QC peoblem, and it's very saft with those package.

SO finally got the chance to see an XM piece in person. Had a fellow collector come by the house and bring the Captain. Let me tell you i was impressed. Awesome packaging, great quality statue. Cant wait to see more and someday own one of their pieces. Link to my video below for those interested.

Great video p!tu. Thanks for sharing. Loved the addition of the beer, but kept worrying you'd knock it over.
Best look I've had at an XM piece. The paint app. and packaging probably being the two most impressive aspects.

Thanks Hellboy! glad you liked it! I was so impressed with the packaging. I was not expecting it to be so good. And that velcro is the best thing ever!!

First time posting, but I have been reading the boards since the Summer. I'm relatively new to collecting statues. I've seemed to have gravitated towards the 1/4 size pieces, which I fear will present a spacing issue in my future. Regardless, I've become infatuated with XM pieces. I've pre-ordered both, Hawkeye and Wolverine. And today, I received a most excellent package in the mail.
The XM Studios Captain America statue.
I was late to the party on the statue, but I finally found an overseas re-seller after much time scouring the net. It's funny to think that I feel as though I got a bargain paying "only" $900, which included shipping.
Captain America is in my top five comic book heroes along with Superman, Wolverine, Batman, and Cyborg (yep, Cyborg. I was a huge fan of the Wolfman/Perez run on "The New Teen Titans").
Back to the Cap statue. As many have observed, the XM packaging is ridicously excellent. I have three Sideshow pieces that I totally love, but the packaging used for those were no where comparable to XM packaging. So, just observing the XM packaging had me giddy with anticipation. Then came the statue.
Wow! I realized that I was just "dipping my toes" in the water when viewing the statue's images on this forum and elsewhere. To have it physically in front of me was/is awesome.
I love the pose. The sculpt is killer. The switch out options with the flag and shields are great (but where the heck am I going to store the ones not being displayed). The heft. The paint job.
I'll be staring at this one for a while.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
