I ordered some Image Comics lately. It has been awhile since i got anything Image.
- Paper Girls Deluxe Edition, vol. 3 Ordered
- Killadelpihia Deluxe Edition, vol. 1 Ordered
And Geoff John's creator owned imprint under Image Comics, The Ghost Machine imprint released their first Deluxe Edition, Geiger. I plan to get it in my next order. Image Comics' new Transformers run won the Eisner award of 2024 btw. so i am looking forward to its Deluxe Edition.

I was actually planing to get Saga Deluxe Edition, vol. 1 (that is something so overdue for me), but all the volumes were out of stock on the local online store that i checked and there was only one of Killedelphia Deluxe Edition, vol. 1 left... Oh Man... I am a sucker for that...
When there is a last one of something, i am super mega ultra tempted to get it And once again i couldn't resist that impulse urge to get the last one... So it was actually an impulse buy, but it was being a Dark Vampire Horror also helped.

I haven't read an Image in a while. What's the best one to read right now?

Brain K. Voughan's Saga was very big while it was coming out monthly. I haven't read it yet, but i have never seen any other Image book that got that big before.

I finished Copra, vol. 1 and my first impression was Copra book was inspried by DC Comics' Suicide Squad and i wasn't wrong. I like the idea of an indie Suicide Squad Book. It sounded appealing to me, that was the biggest reason, why i got the book. I liked Michle Fiffe as well, because he got DC Comics in his blood. Well, i am a DC guy.
The Book started from the middle, the Copra Team was on a job and everything went wrong, a city got destroyed and they were framed for the destruction and all the lost lives and now, there was a bounty on their head. They needed to clear their name, get revenge on some guy named Vitas when they were on the run. I am not sure Vitas was a guy though ??? Vitas was the main villain, but i am really not sure if Vitas was a human in costume or an alien or a robot, cybrog or something. (HA HA) Some character designs were really wacky.
The Story was not clear about some details, may be they will be revealed in the later volumes. I couldn't get into the story quite well at the first 3 issues, but i didn't give up and i started to enjoy the book more and more from there.
The art was very exspresive, it was no Jim Lee art, but it certainly did the job. I liked the coloring, it was done by dry paint, i believe. It was nice. The book had a good amount of action as you would expect from a super hero book.
the Copra characters:
Count Corpota (Definetly DC Comics's Count Vertigo was the inspiration)
Lloyd (Definetly the inspiration was DC Comics's Deadshot)
Rax (not the looks of him, but the part about his origin in which he was an alien who was transported to earth from his planet with and accident reminded me Martain Manhunter, but his costume had more like a Jack Kirby character vibes so he was a mix of things actually)
Sonia Stone (Definetly inspired by DC Comics' Amanda Waller)
I can't quite quess the inspiration for rest of the characters, probably because of my lack of comics knowladge.
So if you are into DC Comics' Suicide Squad team, you will probably like Copra.

A technial deficulty happened.
the online local store was not able to ship the Ice Cream Man Sundae Edition, vol. 2, i have waited for almost 20 days... But they weren't able to ship so i cancelled the order. Instead i got Spawn Origins Hardcover Book 14 with the extra money.
