I was only there on the Sunday (normally the quieter day) but they seemed to have fixed a number of the size/overcrowding issues. It was good to catch up with some of the regulars. Also, I couldn't help myself, I started another Jam.

Edit: Royd, I agree, I think Supanova is my fav con. But that is also because they have better PR guys.

Wow. What a weekend and What. A. Con!!!

I know where you're coming from Terence in relation to some "features" that were implemented that really made the con so much more enjoyable and user friendly than we've seen in the past

I'm glad you guys approved of having the comic guests ready to go at the tables BEFORE doors were opened to the public, I think that should be the standard not the the novelty heading forward kinda proud of that one

The double sized walkways, separate levels for comic and tv/movie celebs (and token/photo booths) and other features were inspired, and really allowed for a happy and enjoyable environment for all involved!

On a personal note, still recovering from the Aussie and International guests dinner, which went into the wee hours of the night and led to the restaurant being closed up around us! Phil Jimenez , Nicola Scott and Jon Sommariva were the life of the table, and we all had such a blast I had to pinch myself that I was sharing stories, jokes and memories with these guys who I'm proud to call friends! Tom Raney and his wife Gina, Freddie Williams and his wife Kiki, and of course the star that is David Yardin all made it such a great night for us and the US guests have all promised to return at some point which as I'm sure all you guys who got one of the virtual truckload of art they cranked out will attest, will be amazing!

Tell us who the comic guests are for Adelaide/Brisbane and I'll agree with you!

Hey Rodders,

Great to hear that the show went well! And that you had a wonderful time socialising with the guests - always fun!

Phil is definitely a hoot to hang out with and I'm looking forward to seeing him at SDCC next week!

Look forward to seeing some of your new acquisitions soon Best,

Royd

Haha! "Suffer in your jocks!" (quote from "The Castle")

(So Gibbons, Jusko, Dodson, Simone, Scott, Tan, Wilson, Taylor plus more weren't good enough in Melbourne & Gold Coast in April? )

Hey Wrothy,

Related topic - did you see there's a new comic shop in the Hay St. Mall where EB used to be? I've heard it's the Adelaide Comics Centre expanding into Perth!

Not sure how they'll go given that there are 2 comics specialty shops in the city (including one around the corner from them) plus Empire/Red Griffin and the rents in Hay St. Mall must be pretty high! Best,

Royd

Hey Rodders,

Will do! We've caught up previously at other SDCCs for breakfast so I'll have to see if he's available for brekky this time around

Nice to hear you picked up some pieces which we all look forward to checking out! Best,

Royd
