And to be honest there are times I hated Cano, he did not hustle and cost us many times.
To me there is one guy in Baseball right now worth that kinda $$...Trout. that's it!
Now for the Mets I think Grandy will help alot, but I hope for your sake (and my Brother's who is a die hard) they spend some more cash...No matter what, Mets need to understand this is NY.. and it's a HUGE market...You will make it back in Attendence, just spend!

Hey Frankie !
A wise GM once said you have to know when to give a player a large contract just as much as you have to know when to let go. I think the Yanks did a smart thing on this one.
The way I look at it, if the Mets pitching keeps going the way I hope it too, then they just need the offense to get timely hits to be successful. I look at the Giants from a few years back and it gives me hope.

If I were the Mets GM ( I am sure Most Met fans would not mind that..LOL) I would Trade and get Reyes back...I am sure you could get him for a steal. Then get Nelson Cruz and Arroyo and give the young guys a year to prove themselves before making any other moves

Actually after Reyes took himself out of the game after he won the batting title I stopped being a fan.
I would prefer if he stayed on the disabled list on the blue jays for all eternity.

I agree it was a slimy move, but was it worse than guys like Braun taking the MVP while he was on juice? Baseball used to be a game first, now we all know it's a business first, and with contracts going up...the game aspect is gone.

Certainly not, but bad enough for me not to be a fan of him.
At the same time I can understand (not condone) why some athletes take steroids. By taking it and increasing there home run total just by 5 or 10 is the difference of a few million dollars. Just a sad aspect of it.
glad they are testing and catching all of these creeps

I totally get ya.
and
Agreed! Glad there is a crackdown now.
The only guy I was ever really surprised by was Mcgwire..He came up as a skinny little guy and hit 49 HRs his rookie year..He really never needed the roids, but I guess everyone was doing it on his club so it was only a matter of time.

I would agree. I wonder if he would have passed Maris had he not.
Sosa no chance in hell, as he needed them to be relevant.
I remember when Brady on the Orioles hit 50 home runs. Ya had to know something was very fishy at his sudden prowess with the bat ! lol
