I beg your pardon? I don't usually reply to these comments unless they're quoting me. And I told you once, you come across as aggressive and opinionated - no matter how many times you intersperse those "IMO"s in recent times, you just can't help calling people disingenuous and ignorant when they don't agree with you. And you do step in a lot when it comes to telling people what they should do or not, how they should act in the collecting world. You just won't see me doing that.
Except now.

@Shoo
I'm tapping out - this discussion is leading nowhere. I'm not going to get into a pointless argument over opinions about dolls.
If you see my comments as "grumpy", or negative, then that's on you....you do you. I fully respect your contribution to this forum, and I hope you continue to enjoy your hobby on your own terms.

Thanks.
As for you, please stick around, too.
Just... maybe count to three next time before... being you?
Those "IMOs" were a step in the right direction in spite of everything.

Comparing the JND MP Catwoman to the previous efforts of Prime 1 Studio and the other studio whose name escapes me for the moment, I do wish JND's base would have a bit more character that represents the world of Tim Burton's Batman Returns. The art direction is so iconic in that film, specifically the cartoony cat head and gothic architecture. Prime 1's MP Catwoman base does a nice job of infusing the visual aesthetic from Gotham as well as a bit of narrative with the "hell here" that lights up.
I know JND likes to stick with the simple base and there's certainly merit to that.

I get what you're saying, but speaking from a selfish perspective as an owner of both 1:6 and 1:4 Tweeterhead Pfeiffers, I welcome not having a third cartoony cat head.

I do like that in their bases, too. It feels less... cluttered to me.

DarkSide are decidedly about to stick their heads in an oven.

And as someone else had previously mentioned, the JND statue is more practical with the physics of the whip. The whip in the Prime 1 statue appears lighter than it would physically be. These aren?t opinions, they are observations.

You keep using images that are prototype images vs images taken in a completely different setting and with way different lighting.
Who are you trying to fool here, and even then I still think Prime 1 looks way better.
Also no those are your opinions, and they are wrong.
That fanboy phase gonna wear off soon

Ronny Stark has essentially curated his own museum of 1/2 to life-size MCU pieces

I didn't get the p1 version because of inaccuracies. This isn't a fan boy thing. I ordered the single jnd.

After being in this game for over a decade, I’ve found that most movie based pieces to have some been critiqued to have some sort of inaccuracy in their production, and that’s not even including errors in paint app and level of likenes.
In all honesty I’m personally not all that discerning about such things, so I usually rely on other collectors to critique pieces I’m interested in. For me personally if the likeness is at my current level of satisfactory, then I’m more inclined to purchase a piece.
The older the movie franchise is, the more likely it is to be critiqued to high heavens. The only other franchise which has a similar level of critique leveled against it are Batman related pieces. Items from newer franchises in general seems to be left alone a bit more.

I found it a bit funny and an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as Ronny Stark. That collector seems to have his own museum like display, whereas mine is quite the opposite. Though I’m hoping to slowly remedy that.
