I was just talking about that with my wife. GC was awesome but it didn't do well in the theatres so no sequels.
Same thing happened with Eragon though Eragon was no where near as good as Golden Compass.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Yeah, I was disappointed about that as well. That series suffered the same fate as John Carter, bad B.O. killed its franchise future.

I thought it was more to to with religious grounds? And no one outside of Hollywood could finance?

Money trumps religion when it comes to movies, if the 1st one had made tons of money, no doubt they would have continued the series. Same goes for Narnia, which also had a bit of religious controversy when the 1st one came out. Made enough for two sequels, but I think that's it.

That kid in the last Narnia film almost ruined the entire film for me, LOL.

It's not bad. But the kid was kinda annoying. A bit like the kid in the second Mummy movie.

It was good you just have to tone out that kid. If you ever see it you'll know exactly who I'm talking about.

Which kid was it? Is it a new kid for the 3rd movie, or one of the two left over from the other movies?
