Holy Cr@p I just looked for them on Amazon and they start used at $140!!

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...n+Wagner&ajr=0

On ebay there is one Midnight Sun at $25 but almost 5 days to go on the auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/Midnight-Sun-Kar...item2eb5e4c6f1

The others are $160 to $250

Gods in Darkness about the same, just a little cheaper.

I had no idea they were going for this much. I paid $35 ea for mine I think. I guess they are a lot rarer than I thought.

Finished Jar City by Arnaldur Indridason about a murder in Reykjavik. Was quite keen to read this after seeing a film adaptation, but rather disappointed in the book.

Onto American Gods next ...

Right now I'm reading the first book of "A Song of Ice and Fire: Game of Thrones"

If you guys haven't read them yet-- Hunger Games and Dragon Tattoo series are really really good.
I finished that book the next day and started the last book in the series Dead and Reckoning this morning and 1/2 done with it now lol I watched the first season of the show then read the books and never went back to the show..

Flannery O'Connor: The Complete Stories

A great collection by one of my wife's favorite authors. I had never tried her work, but this book has made me realize just what a good writer she was. She had an amazing ability to encapsulate fears and absurdities that all of us face in life, and her characters could be quite unappealing (but in an entertaining way). I highly recommend her work.

Just started the "Book of Lies" by Brad Meltzer. I have heard his novels are good but have never read one. He now has a show on the history channel and his books have been best sellers so I thought I would give him a chance.

Barnes and Noble has a complete collection of HP Lovecraft called "The Complete Fiction" that I just bought. Like most people I have read a lot of his stuff over the years but this is supposed to be all of it so I am going to read it. 1100 pages.

RE our discussion several posts back, Karl Edward Wagner's Kane collections are very expensive on ebay but at least the collection of short stories in "Nightwinds" is available for free on the internet.

IMO "Two Suns Setting" is the only weak story in the collection. A good way for someone to get their feet wet on the character of "Kane" by Wagner if anyone is interested
