Our theater had its premiere for 3 days last week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I went Monday and tickets were $14 a piece for this trash lol.

Do not waste your time.
The lead actress fails to cut it. There is a sense of detachment throughout. Prey fails to take the viewer there. For some reason the makers felt the need to include a fair amount of CGI animals, all of which might look impressive if they were in a video game. Fact is, the animals are in a movie, and they fail to convince. I guess the wolf looked good. The star actor is probably the (real) dog. The dog put in a great performance.
One area of Prey i found like-able, were the various shots of scenery featuring tree's water etc.
lol what UK? I loved this more than the original but probably cause a female was the lead.

Hocus Pocus 2: there isn’t a low enough score for this. To all the single fellas out there, marriage means having to watch stuff like this from time to time. Just something for you to ponder.

Prey lacked a lot. It lacked grit.
For example, the Comanche tribe looked like a bunch of actors made up by make-up artists. I did not sense i was watching a real tribe.

The female, Naru. There is a moment when she is running from a CGI bear. Her run, C'mon. Maybe the director is to blame. I think if someone was being chased across water by a bear, they might put some effort into it

For the most part Prey is slow going.
Prey felt too much like watching a live action cartoon.

What was it with a CGI food chain lesson. Small animal gets eaten by larger animal. Larger animal gets at by slightly larger aniaml. Predator kills slightly larger animal. Even the snake looked CGI ?

I switched Prey off after 10 minutes and returned to it 2 days later. It felt like a re_run of Eternals (2021) - me constantly questioning myself my i was bothering to watch. On a positive note, i am currently watching The Boys (2019) season 1, and it is great!

If somebody sees ?Smile? please post a review right away. The premise sounds stupid but the trailers look creepy as hell. Kind of like ?The Ring? in that way.
