Paris Belongs to Us (1961) - A young literature student meets a group of people plagued by dark forces. After joining a theatrical troupe, she begins to believe that the director is in grave danger, and that he is involved with a secret group.
A bonus feature critique of the film on the Blu-ray confirms the film is intentionally vague so it wasn't just me. In light of this analysis, I'd very much like to watch the movie again. 7/10

Amelie (2001) - Amelie is an innocent and naive girl in Paris with her own sense of justice. She decides to help those around her and, along the way, discovers love.
This was a little too cute for critics, but I loved its whimsical style. No complaints at all from me. 10/10

Crazy Horse (2011) - A look inside Paris' Crazy Horse, a club that boasts the greatest and most chic nude dancing in the world.
The inner workings of the club are predictably routine like any other business, however, the ladies are very naked. 7/10

John Wick 4 (8/10) Really enjoyed my 4th trip in to this Police-less/Euro-Disco/Rainy/ universe. Wick is still the bad-a$$ he's always been. Satisfying to say the least.

Casablanca (1942) - 9.5/10. I seem to find myself watching this film every five years or so. I take half a point away because I cringe every time when Ilsa refers to Sam (a grown, black man) as “boy.” And, the few special effects in the film are not good. Move through those moments, and the film is an enthralling ride that showcases Bogart’s coolness, Bergman’s beauty and Rains’ deft, comedic play. Throw in some Nazis, proud French, and Sam’s dreaming rendition of, “As Time Goes By,” you have movie magic.

Good to know. I thought this series was out of legs after the third installment, but looking forward to this one now.

I really loved the 3rd one. You know I love & have owned & still own Belgian Malinois, so having such a great pair in the 3rd really brought it up a level. The 1st 3 have all built to something which we find in 4 (+ ... it has a Malinois). John Wick's an interesting character even though I bet he has less than 20 minutes of actual dialog in all the films combined. I think you'll really enjoy it.

3 wasn?t my favorite either, but I did love the beginning of the battle at The Continental.
I really enjoy Ian McShane. I can?t believe that man is 80! He has such swagger. I?m not looking to research the TV show bc I want to be surprised if he is in it.
