Very excited! Thanks for the honest review, Cessna. My husband would be like your wife, so I hope he likes it too

Polite Society (2023) - Ria Khan believes she must save her older sister Lena from her impending marriage. After enlisting her friends' help, she attempts to pull off the most ambitious of all wedding heists in the name of independence and sisterhood.

I watched this again, this time with relatives and they liked it a lot. It's a very charming family film--even with the brief nudity, hah. 8/10

A Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey): 6.5/10

A Jim Carrey/Disney collaborative work is going to be over the top with "yuk-yuks" and forced humor even in a Charles Dickens story. If you know this going in then you can enjoy it for what it is. They left out little bits of the story and added things that weren't necessary, typical Disney.

Don Jon (2013)
7/10

Comedy romance. I went into this knowing nothing, other than it starred some top talent including Scarlett Johansson,
Julianne Moore, Joseph Gordon-Levitt to name a few.

There is a side to this movie i was not expecting. Not one to watch with your mom in the room.

Over the holiday I took advantage of my dad's projector to watch a pair of films in 3D:

Pina (2011) - A tribute to the late German choreographer Pina Bausch, as her dancers perform her most famous creations.

The modern dance compositions recreated here are exquisite, often enhanced by being set in unique environments. 9/10

Goodbye to Language (2014) - A silent, surreal parallel between a couple and a dog.

Jean-Luc Godard is one of my favorite directors, but I've seen this three times now and still am not entirely sure what's it's about other than the suggestion by the title that it's not supposed to make much sense at all. So why keep watching it? Because the 3D is absolutely INSANE. 7/10

Crazy Rich Asians - 2/10

Wow, this movie is terrible. Flat story and characters, typical canned bland romcom movie. I expected more and was sorely disappointed.

Godzilla Minus One - 9/10. This movie was pretty amazing. It's mind blowing that they made this spectacular movie on a budge of $15 million, while movie studios in the US make garbage like The Marvels for $250 million. Go check this one out in the theatre, it's worth it.

Godzilla Minus One 9.5/10. Just for comparison (they are totally different types of movies) I watched Godzilla 2014 again last night. I'd also give that a 9/10.... the sequel to that, I dunno, more like a 7/10.
