The Muppet Christmas Carol: 8/10
Been a while since I've seen this one as well. Lots of nostalgia with this. Not only Christmas but watching The Muppet Show as a kid. Not only did I feel genuine sympathy for the little rabbit muppet freezing in the cold but I discovered I can do a mean Michael Caine impression. So I think I'm done with Scrooge based movies, time to move on the commercialization aspect and the means Santa.

GodzillaMinus One - 10/10.
The best movie I have seen in a while. I’m glad that it is doing well enough for the US theatrical run to be extended. I hope there is a US 4K release.

Went back and watched this for the first time since 1988. Really loved it again.

Trumbo (2015) - 8/10
Excellent film with an all-star cast. Anyone who likes this should try The Front, a much older film with Woody Allen and Zero Mostel. A real heartbreaker and outstanding film.

Merry Little Batman - 3/10
More geared for kids, but strangely violent considering, with extreme danger throughout.. The tone and feel just didn’t work for me at all.

A much better Godzilla prequel than Oppenheimer.

The Holdovers (2023) - A cranky history teacher at a remote prep school is forced to remain on campus over the holidays with a troubled student who has no place to go.
I feared it would be the predictable feel-good movie where the outcasts form their own happy family over the holidays, but it thankfully veered away from that. I'd watch it again next December. 8/10
