I forgot about this one. I know I watched it but don?t really remember it. Will re-watch. I liked the Bran Mak Morn book also.

It might actually be a 7.5 but I'm a big Robert E Howard fan. A Bran Mak Morn movie will probably never happen and another truly great Conan is unlikely as well. James Purefoy was a great pick for the character, he's even a fan of the books. Will have to re-watch around Halloween.

Tarot (2024/on Netflix) 8/10

Not a bad sort of throwback. You know the drill, college kids rent a house & find a spooky deck of cards. Things are summoned, an old experienced seer is enlisted to help. Some pretty nice cinematography & camera work. Fun & spooky deaths. Quite atmospheric. I was pleasantly surprised.

Captain America: The First Avenger. 8.5/10

Back in the early days of the MCU when they could do no wrong. I've seen this movie over a dozen times and not tired of it yet.

Terminator Salvation (2009)
4/10

Towards the end, there are some interesting events that unfold. The journey to this point was not very interesting.

Christian Bale does his best with what little he has to work with.
The rest of the cast were average at best.

Needless to say, the movie is filled with a ton of CGI.

The filter added to the picture can only be described as a form of desaturation, increased black levels, resulting in a washed out cold feel.
Part of me would have like to have seen the picture without the added filter.

Of all the Terminator movies post-T2, Salvation is my fave...and I kinda like that filter you mention I'll have to watch again before I give a rating.

I know someone who likes Salvation more than all the other Terminator movies, and i cannot quite fathom that logic out?

The Terminator (1984) remains my fav Terminator movie.
While many like T2 the most, i only ever liked some aspects of T2.
I was never into the liquid aspect of the T-1000, which i felt was a demonstration of what could with done with computer visuals at the time. Hollywood wanted to show off such visuals.

Terminator: Dark Fate was out and out dreadfull. I was impressed by the Sarah Connor GFX of her sitting in a bar by the beach.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was fun. No match for T1

My favorite MCU Film is Black Widow. I really like Red Guardian, he is my favorite MCU character. (: He is just a family guy, a great father and a role model and a model citizen of Mother Russia.

I have this on blu-ray and absolutely loved it. James is amazing in it.

I Saw The Devil 10/10

Have been on a Korean movie kick lately, and this movie had to be one of the most awesome revenge flicks I've ever seen. If you've seen Oldboy, you'll love this, as the guy who played the main character in that movie plays the villain in here. Can't recommend enough.
