In progress pics are pretty much irrelevant, the only thing that matters is the final result in my book, and so far I'm not liking what I'm seeing unfortunately. Maybe it's just the pic, or maybe it's the paint, but the eyes and the mouth both look off to me in the image above.
Just my opinion, and I'd be happy to be proven wrong when more pics emerge, but right now I'm just not feeling it based on what I can see.

Some angles look really good, others seem just a little bit off...I think it's the eyes, which don't seem quite right to me somehow. They just lack intensity or something.
Still better than I initially thought judging by the preview pic.

Looks good but the likeness is not 100%. probably 90% there. Still it's a very nice piece. Price and scale?

Yeah, sorry, I should have listed the details as well. From the email:
Quote:
Standing an impressive 20” tall including base (to top of head – not including bow), this Quarter Scale statue captures Rambo’s raw intensity, as the “boatman” reveals his true colors to the mercenaries he is accompanying.
Featuring an accurate likeness of Sylvester Stallone as John Rambo from the latest Rambo movie, this amazingly detailed statue portrays Rambo with his now iconic bow in hand, poised to dispense instant justice with another arrow!
This incredible piece of art is constructed from heavyweight polystone and then hand painted to the finest detail.
Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide
There is no HCG Exclusive version of this piece. However if you like low serial #’s, we are reserving # 1 to # 100 for retail customers only. So the first 100 retail orders will receive the desirable low edition numbers!
Our previous Rambo IV statue sold out VERY quickly, so order early to avoid disappointment!

That sounds like 1/4 scale. It's certainly better than Sideshows effort. Have to say I have enjoyed Slys Renaissance

Yeah it's 1/4 scale. And I, too, have greatly enjoyed Sly's last couple of efforts (absolutely loved Rambo), so hopefully he stays on a roll with Expendables when it hits this year...
Even though it's not quite 100% there, I'd agree that it's closer to 90% as you said Bulls, I must admit I am still quite tempted by this all the same

I'll see if I can maybe pick this up locally. I need a Sly in my collection.
