Surprising news tonight, Shane Black didn't kill off the franchise after all, there is a new Predator movie in production by director Dan Trachtenberg who did 10 Cloverfield Lane. Not surprisingly however, it isn't a sequel to 2018's The Predator. Fingers crossed for a half decent movie with a decent practical Predator design...

Wonderful news. The last 2 movies were the worst of the bunch imo. Disney owns the predator name now right?

Ahhh ugh, mmmm
I just don't know anymore.
Get back to basics.
Heat and conflict attract them.
They have been coming to earth a loooong time.
Or take the risk and try to come up with something that didn't get created 30+ years ago now and try for something original.

Hopefully this movie will redeem the Predator franchise after the s..t fest that was The Predator, arguably the worst Predator movie EVER and one of the worst movies ever made PERIOD.......

It is not only the pred design, but all the actors in the movie have to be good. And less civilians running around (less unnecessary screen fill)
More hard Core soldier stuff like the first cast.

Pred3 could have worked better too, if they didn't use the backstabbing character 'Christopher J. Grace' played.
Did not like it / disturbed the flow of movie.

I really enjoyed Predators, I revisited it again recently actually and enjoyed it again. It had a decent cast, high production values and a few good looking creatures. If we get all of that from this new movie, I'll be happy. But yeah, The Predator was beyond awful, I'm not sure I can think of a single redeeming feature from it?
