It was never given an official name, but someone titled it "The Gotham Girls statue" when it showed up on Ebay several years ago and the name has since stuck with this statue (it actually sounds cool).

In case any one is wondering, I don't know who sculpted.

That's too funny. I guess the seller figured controversy would get him more dollars. The statue was never banned in Europe.

The distributor made a handful of these statues as promotional pieces (VHS Batman videos I believe). I don't know who sculpted it, or if it was officially licensed. All I know is that I bought it from someone who once (or still) held a Marvel and DC license to produce Figurines overseas. I don't want to get into too many details, as the history of this statue is unknown and I really don't know too much about it in the first place.

No it's not just this seller.

I found the statue on several sites in the past and a lot had it linked under the term banned european promo or sumtin along that line, that cannot just be a coincidence.

Maybe as you hinted its not officially licensed.

I'm only specualting on the auction details. Maybe (I'm sure) that the seller is legit, but he could have been passed along bad information as well as a phony box.

Let me know if you get more information to enlighten me on this sculpture. I've been wondering for years.

Lol I guess we both want to know but don't... not yet anyway.

Seems unlikely something like this would be banned in Europe. I always thought that it might mean it was made in Europe and maybe banned in the us or so since the licenses originate from over there, but really thats just something I sortof made up

I know bobby has one and maybe jersey, at least I know he has been looking for a long time maybe they know a bit more.

I bought this when it first started showing up on Ebay a few years ago. (I've tried to collect all statues of Harley Quinn) The seller claimed it came from Germany, from an unknown sculptor. It's not a Warner Brothers product and it came in a white box...no labeling.

Sorry I can't help further.
