Most people have fond memories of the animated series more so than the original art and coloring from the comics I suppose , hence the white costume. All other Storms in this costume that have been produced by other companies have been white too barring custom statues.
Hope that's a satisfactory response.
I know, I own the whole series on DVD and I used to watch it back when it first aired.

My comment was more sarcasm due to the fact the first bunch of releases did not have any Animated Series (Cyke, Wolvie, Magneto, Pyslocke and Gambit all looked comic Jim Lee) look to them, while this one looks straight out of the cartoon.

And for some strange reason there's a COH with a mohawk.

Why does she have a mohawk on the 90s costume? That makes no sense whatsoever.
Agreed. There is a recent 1/4 custom that did the same thing. My guess is they couldn't come up with anything creative so they just threw in the non-canon mohawk portrait.

I find it incredible that Sosa has designed another Storm for a commission. And it's much better than this. Even the painted one.

Yea... looking at side by side pics I think I'm gonna have to go with Sosa's other version. This one just has too many lame problems going for it =/

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Finally... rejoice DRS fans. Pads look a bit off. Base looks good, something different than a sentinel hand/head. Just the proto I'm sure. Not a fan of the punk switch out.

The animated series was much more influential than the comics books to me growing up. Heck even the trading cards.

I think sometimes you are too scrupulous when talking about another figure.
We are only comparing the detail of the same character of the same sculptor. And launched at the same time. Seeing both, Kotobukiya need more detail and improve his painting.
It is a good figure, but it has been proven that it can be much better.

The Mohawk portrait will end up staying in the box like the short haired farting Rogue one.
