The highlights can be blue, grey, brown, possibly depending on environment she is located in.

For the live action movie, Charlize Theron who played the part of Aeon Flux had black hair.

Black appears to be the prominent color.
Here's the approved update for the hair.

I don't "think" anything. (That's me. Btw)

All decisions are based on our research and conversations with the licensor, as well as feedback from our wonderful collector community.

I have no stake in the game on this piece as I'm not buying it, but I actually much prefer how she looked before. Though, is the new pic the actual paint, or just a Photoshopped image?

I think it's photoshopped. It's the eyebrows that take a second to get used to.

When I first saw this piece I thought her hair was too light, but I never thought Aeon had jet black hair, just a dark dark brown. So neither was/is right in my mind, but I think the black is closer...

In a collection, the first thing people will notice is the fantastic sculpt and pose, the hair/eyebrows will be secondary.

I've always considered her hair black. I didn't even know brown hair was a thing with her.

For the real version of the black hair I recommend having more pronounced highlights/light on the hair. Will make it look better

Black looks better.
The brown came across as wishy washy not quiet sure.
The real answer is black reflecting off of surround (highlights)

Hmm I personally like their first original take on her, which was the brown/dark brown highlights. The black comes across to harsh, but than again I'm not sure what her original color would be in the comics

I think the photoshopped black looks a little stark. A paint app would/will look more natural.

This photo from the other Aeon Flux thread perfectly illustrates her correct coloring. Black suit (should be glossier than PCS proto!; it's shiny dominatrix leather...), beige skin, black hair.

Attachment breaks down the interpretation. It's amazing how much confusion comes from interpreting comic/cartoon/pixel art.

Maybe a combo of the two. Dark base paint with and lighter extra coat to hit the highlights on top?

Additionally, I'm hoping that some statue company can make some advancements in sculpted hair. These hairlines can come off as a bit "helmet-like" at times.
