"Must Love Dogs" film review
The better half and I just finished watching this formulaic drivel. The movie starred John Cusack and Diane Lane. It was a story about two recent divorcees struggling with their newfound singlehood. These two characters were so nauseatingly humdrum, all we kept wondering was how the heck their other halves didn't leave them sooner! I don't believe there was a single scene in this film we haven't a million times already on TV.
Even worse, it basically depicted all women over 35 as desperate bores and men over 40 as neandrathals and skirt chasing pedofiles. If we see another film about a recently dumped woman (who is usually gorgeous, intelligent, funny, and rich) who can never seem to find a date, we're going to scream. Save for Stockard Channing (who would be entertaining just reading the phone book), no one had any big screen chemistry.
Steer clear way from this one, folks.
The wiser half and I gave it a 2/10.
It's too bad because I like those two actors. Easy money talks as this one was definitely called in.
