The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

It would be cool to have switch out arm holding Daredevil head and then DD characters as Chess pieces. Bullseye, Elektra, etc.

Anyhow - GREAT sculpt and idea.

Seems sitting in a chair/throne is the next Captain Morgan look.

Lol.

I never was a fan of "on throne" or chair statues. Not that they're bad; I actually like this concept with Kingpin. I also like old Doom PF and XM Magneto but never felt the desire to have them.

I understand some people love "on throne/chair" though, I just thought it'd be weird to have a bunch of characters just sitting around.

In Kingpin's case the more I think about it the weirder this becomes...who (in a story context) made the chess pieces for him and why? Is running a criminal empire so boring he can just sit around and play with chess pieces of people he knows? He has nothing better to do or kill? Does this help him think better? Is he really strategizing like this? Let me stop and just enjoy it for the visual it is without trying to justify any logic into it, lol.

I completely agree. the bowen version was pretty fantastic.

As nice as a concept as this is, I would have much preferred a simple museum pose.

I think there is certain characters where a sitting pose suits and Kingpin is one of those characters. Not sure I'd display the chessboard though and prefer him holding a cigar in one hand and a brandy glass in the other.

Peedi, you're thinking too much about this. Lol! Just enjoy it for the symbolism.

I really like the concept, but prefer him to be leaning back and more in command rather than craning over the chessboard. I think it should be designed in such a way that the chessboard is an ancillary piece and not the focus. That will likely happen once they get into it. I absolutely love the idea of a playable chess set. That's going to make it an awesome must have.
