Daughter of Zeus so interacting with lightning has basis in source material.

The added orchestra in the trailer is awesome. Aquaman has Depeche Mode, WW84 has New Order.

Except they have yet to state she IS the daughter of Zeus in the films. Think they will this time?
I love the dark nature of the story and her evolution as a character. I just don't know if the strong woman, yet bubblegum-ness, of these WW films is meant to take such a turn as to how WW is a goddess.

Um, the first film did state this.

Tough to say w/o seeing the daily rushes or the assembly cut, but the story in the spoiler makes me want to see the movie (unlike the spoilers for Spectre and Rise of Skywalker).

I don't recall them saying it verbatim. Just alluding to it along with Hippolyta obviously knowing, hence her trying to keep Diana hidden. The Godkiller sword and her being able to "kill" Ares with it was because she is a Goddess herself. I don't recall her saying that Zeus himself was her father.
I know the comics do state her father is Zeus because I have read them. I didn't remember the movie being so obvious with her parentage.

You need to watch the movie again.
Ares destroyed the "Godkiller" sword and straight up told her that only a god can kill another god. He then told her that Zeus was her father, thus she's the "Godkiller" that her mother and Antiope had been referencing at the beginning of the movie.

Thank you guys I will watch the movie for the 6th time before WW'84 drops. It's just been a long while since I watched the first. I clearly watched it several times right after it's initial release and forgot that part.
